Hope you’re keeping well through the winter months.
It’s no secret I’m not a fan of winter, however, I was surprised January passed relatively quickly. My running buddy and I were happy one clear morning when it was just a smidge lighter when we set off at 7am. And driving home one evening was distinctly lighter this week! Those little glimmers are so heartening! I am sure somewhere deep within, my soul values the varying seasons, but however much I try, my body and mind function so much more effectively and efficiently with warmth and light.

So, I am thankful that back in the summer, I had the foresight to pre-empt my winter blues and book a joyful January theatre trip with my daughters. I also booked annual leave for the same week, so it was blissful to just take time and enjoy each day at its own pace.
To add to the joy, our shower had a deep clean, my work studio is a little tidier and the utility room has revealed itself to have a worktop after all - who knew?! Oh, and a tub containing over £30 in loose change, now paid into the bank, much to hubby’s delight!
However, all the decluttering means I notice how many other areas still need a good sort-out…
Celebrate the small wins though, right?
The last month also gave me the opportunity to revisit the story of Poema from the beginning. It’s more than a privilege to be able to pursue this dream, to remember how it began and the foundation of its existence. If you’ve been following the journey for a while you probably already know but if you haven’t, or would like to be reminded, there’s a short read from a few years back here. Or get in touch and I’ll happily give you a longer version!!
All that to say, it’s been an adventure with our God, where He has guided my very tentative and cautious steps and I am excited to see what 2024 has in store. I believe He has already begun to reveal new paths and although I cannot see the destination, I am trusting His faithfulness.
